As a marketing stunt in 2017, Pringles created an entire holiday spread in the form of a potato ship - we’re talking turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, curly corn, poppy seeds and cheese, and Pumpkin pie . Unfortunately, they were not available to the public, with only a few very limited edition packages.

In October, the company teased fans to "prepare their stretch pants" in an Instagram post, indicating delicious things. Now, they have revealed the news that three all-star flavors - turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie - will be available for sale this year.

"It simply came to our notice then Pringles Thanksgiving dinner Last year, it was so exciting to see the positive reactions of Pringles fans celebrating how accurate the reckless flavors were, "said Yuvraj Arora, senior vice president of marketing for Kellogg's snack division in the United States.

If the idea of potato chips with pumpkin pie takes you a little, keep in mind that these are the least likely brands to jump on the trend of pumpkin spices (looking at you, Buffalo-type wild wings). Pringles has also introduced a number of unique flavors over the years, such as milk chocolate, cheeseburger, and Nissan Top Ramen Chicken.

The new chips are only available for a limited time and will be sold exclusively online starting Tuesday, November 6, at 11:59 p.m. ET on Kellogg's store website. You can purchase a pack of 3 for $ 14.99.

Oregon Historical Society & # 8217s Chocolate-Nut Cake

The Oregon Historical Society, which also comprises a research library and museum, is unlikely to hold their sixth annual Celebrity Chocolate Cake Smackdown, in which local luminaries compete for the approval of Gerry Frank, the nonagenarian judge of the Oregon State Fair & # 8217s chocolate cake contest.

But Katie Mayer didn & # 8217t have the yearly competition in mind when she developed a cake-baking challenge as a way to connect with her far-flung coworkers, after the institution shut its doors on March 13. Mayer, who loves to bake when she & # 8217s not overseeing the OHS & # 8217s records and catalog as the technical services librarian, asked her coworkers to prepare a chocolate-nut cake recipe from a cookbook published in the town of Newberg, Oregon, in 1912, with a secret ingredient: mashed potatoes .

Eleven of her co-workers volunteered to bake the cake. The recipe itself is brief, and includes no baking instructions. & # 8220Women of that era did not really need instructions, because they learned to cook from a really young age, & # 8221 notes Mayer.

Historical recipes, Mayer cautions, sometimes stayed historical for a reason. & # 8220The reaction to how the cake tasted was not overwhelmingly positive, & # 8221 Mayer says. Many of the participants ended up icing their cakes or adding berries for extra flavor, since the cake itself doesn't call for much in the way of chocolate. Afterwards, Mayer posted the cake photos and the recipe in an OHS blog post, inviting followers on social media to make their own mashed-potato chocolate cake. & # 8220We all made this cake. And, of course, what we got out of it was 12 different cakes, & # 8221 she says.

Ellen Emlen wrote down her recipe for jumbles, an early form of sugar cookies. Courtesy of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania

Ingredients

Step 1: - Spread the salt on an oven tray. Make sure you cover the area where the turkey will sit. Each part of the turkey that will not be on the salt will come into direct contact with the tray and that part will be burned. There will also be a lot of smoke, so you should cover the tray with a layer of at least 1cm.

Step 2: - place the turkey on top of the salt, in the center of the tray.

Step 3: - add spices on top of the turkey. You can also marinate the turkey before, but the beauty of this recipe is that the turkey will be great without any spice. This step is optional.

Step 4: - put the tray with the whole turkey in oven

Step 5: - keep the whole turkey in the oven without doing anything else. The turkey should stay in the oven until it looks like the photo next to it.
This means that you should keep the turkey for at least 3.5 hours for a 3 kg turkey at a temperature of about 130 degrees Celsius.
Again, the beauty is that if you forget the turkey in the oven, it should be ok for 1 extra hour, but not force the note :).
Make sure you check the turkey after 2 hours and every 30 minutes after those 2 hours.

Turkey roll with fruit skewers

The winter holidays are approaching with slow but sure steps. We may not feel this yet, but at least the cold, the short days and the frozen smell are the main heralds. Moreover, lights have already begun to appear in the city, which will soon be lit, covering the city from head to toe.

The beautiful part of the Holidays is the opportunity to see our dearest friends and family again, to enjoy the time spent together, delicious dishes and a glass of good cheer. If you are going to be a host this year, it is a good idea to prepare in advance, at least with a few recipe ideas that are only good to impress guests.

This was also Levente's reasoning on Marty Boulevard, when he created the recipe for November. It's a turkey roll with fruit skewers or fruit rhapsody, as he called it, a dish with a surprising combination of ingredients, but which complements each other harmoniously.

The turkey breast has a reputation for being quite dry, but the proposed cooking, as well as the ingredients in the filling, will restore its tenderness and juiciness. The combination of raisins, cranberries, goji and cashew in the filling may seem sweet at first, but it complements perfectly with the meat, resulting in a unique and very tasty dish.

The fruits chosen by our chef are reminiscent of summer and are meant to bring a fresh air to the dish. If you have difficulty finding melons during this period, you can successfully replace them with other seasonal fruits, such as quinces, apples, pears or grapes.

You can find the recipe steps here, and you will find the taste on the plate. Prepare the ingredients and utensils, put a touch of passion and show us on Facebook what came out. We are sure that the result will be one to match! Good appetite.
